Midnight Blue Software's Free DupeLocator Utility
Midnight Blue Software used to offer a number of shareware
utilities for working with JPG images, and two freeware programs.
For some reason, a little while ago they stopped selling their
products, and shut down their web site, leaving only a goodbye message announcing
that they had retired.
Eventually even this message was gone, and the domain went up
for sale.
One of these utilities was DupeLocator, a simple but powerful tool for
finding duplicate files. This freeware program used to be widely available,
but now that the original site is down and the program is no longer
being updated, it's rapidly disappearing from the web, which
is a shame. An archived copy of the old Midnight Blue site can still be
seen on WebArchive. You can
download the executable from there, but something's wrong with their
archived copy of the file.
So I created this page to serve as an
archive of the utility. No support or updates for this program are available.
The links to other pages are directed to the archived copy of the page on WebArchive,
except for the links to the actual downloads themselves, which point to working
copies of the programs.
I didn't write this program. I can't help you with it.
I don't even know what it was written in. If anyone knows of a way to
contact the original developer, please let me know.
